For us to help others and their health, we rely on financial donations as an effective method to keep us providing our services.

What can I donate to Dunedin Curtain Bank?
Donated Curtains go to good homes to keep people warm. We receive over 1,200 curtains annually which we think is pretty cool. Thanks Dunedin for all your great curtain, helping keep our community warm and healthy… and for saving tons from landfill!
We take:

Good quality, mould-free curtains

Fabric rolls or large off-cuts of fabric, as well as lining

Curtain tracks (and fixings/brackets) and curtain hooks/runners
What we can’t take:

Dirty, sun-damaged or mouldy curtains

Curtain rods
-
Any type of blinds
-
Sheets, Bedding, duvet covers (Please donate these items to Dunedin Bedding Bank)
Curtains that are under 170 cm
We may accept…
Donations of plain net curtains, so long as it in in good condition as we make these into reusable produce bags for you to buy for $2.
We love your donations of fabric as we will turn these into hand crafted gifts for our Enviroshop.

Bringing mouldy curtains into the Curtain Bank risks the safety of our staff and the quality of our current stock.
If curtains that you want to donate have mouldy lining, please cut this out before bringing them in.
