Our people

Volunteers

Our volunteers come every week.

Some have come every week for years.

We value our volunteers and we are a family.

The Dunedin Curtain Bank could not function without volunteers.

We are very grateful.

We have many volunteers that come and go, helping out for the day or a few weeks. Giving their time freely. We can often have 10 -12 volunteers in a busy week processing curtains. Saving Dunedin Curtain Bank approximately 5,300 in wages a month.

The Dunedin Curtain Bank Board are also volunteers who freely give hours a month to ensure effective governance.

Website Development

On 9-11 November 2018 Impact NPO ran a charity ‘Hackathon’ in Dunedin. Local tech workers and students attended the weekend along with us and two other charities. Over the weekend (and some hours beyond) this website was built via the donation of their services.

Through the course of the weekend, we were helped by Toby Eglesfield (Website Design, content editing and tech support), Jack Baucke, (Online forms and content editing), Thanatchai Wongjirad (Stripe payments set up) and Jack Pivac of Bluetwist (domain help and tech support).

We would wholeheartedly recommend applying for ImpactNPO for your IT problems if you are a small NFP struggling with your IT in any way – What an awesome initiative!!! Thank you all so much.
